The Challenge: Solving the “Trust Deficit” of Auth0 AI Agents
Despite the rapid progress of LLMs, most AI agents remain confined to controlled environments. Why? Because managing secure access to a user’s digital life presents a colossal challenge. Auth0 is launching this Auth0 AI Hackathon to change the game by proposing a revolutionary framework: Secure Tool Calling, Agent Identity, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Your mission? To develop an agentic AI application leveraging Auth0 for AI Agents Token Vault. Imagine an agent capable of orchestrating your professional workflows securely, deploying code on GitHub after validation, or coordinating teams via Slack with granular authentication. The possibilities are endless.

Who Can Participate?
All developers who have reached the legal age of majority in their country can join this adventure. The hackathon is open to all countries and territories, with the exception of standard exclusions. Beginners are welcome; the hackathon proudly displays the “Beginner Friendly” badge, and the Machine Learning/AI and Open Ended themes encourage all creative approaches.
Evaluation Criteria & Rules of the Auth0 Hackathon
The jury will evaluate your projects based on three axes:
- Technological Implementation: Code quality, integration of Auth0 for AI Agents Token Vault, reusable patterns provided to the community.
- Design: Careful user experience, balance between frontend and backend, overall ergonomics.
- Potential Impact: Project’s reach on the AI developer community and beyond.
